NetEase.com calls extraordinary shareholder meeting

NetEase.com, Inc. (NTES, quote) has announced that it will hold an Extraordinary Meeting of General Shareholders on March 29, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Beijing time. The purpose of this meeting is to vote on a special resolution to change the Company name from “NetEase.com, Inc.” to “NetEase, Inc.”

Dangdang posts 210% sales growth

The “Amazon.com of China” ended 2011 with a bang, based on quarterly earnings results announced February 23. Dangdang’s (DANG, quote) general merchandise revenue was $76 million for the quarter, up 210% year-over-year, while total net revenues were $195 million for a 73% increase.
