Here’s a quick recap and what to look forward to in Q2:
Wrapping up 2012 it’s worthwhile comparing the performance of four emerging market small cap exchange traded funds with a diversified BRIC ETF.
For the past few Thursdays we’ve focused on individual BRIC ETFs. This week we examine the performance of the most traded and widely held BRIC ETF: the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets Index ETF (EEM, quote).
Three weeks ago we published an analysis of the best performing stock markets utilizing data from the Financial Times Global Equities Macromap. The five best performing equity markets for the previous twelve months were emerging markets.
Since last week’s “BRICs break out” article, three of the four BRIC ETFs charted have continued in a similar vein. Today we update those charts and put the implications for the future in perspective.
Emerging Money has covered a number of WisdomTree funds over the past few months. It’s time to review the performance of a couple, examine a new one, and see where they might all be headed.
Since my BRICs post last Thursday all four countries’ ETFs have moved higher. From a purely technical perspective, this provides optimism that we may see additional gains in the future.
