Jonathan Yates is a financial writer with hundreds of articles published in Newsweek, Foreign Policy and The Washington Post, amongst others. Much of his career was spent working for Members of Congress on both the House and Senate in positions such as Deputy General Counsel for a full committee, and Press Secretary for a US Representative on the House Banking Committee. Twice while working for Members of Congress he was granted "Top Secret" clearance in accordance with his duties. He has degrees from Harvard University, The Johns Hopkins University and Georgetown University Law Center; while also matriculating at the United States Naval War College and The Johns Hopkins University School for Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
